If you are sensitive to fragrance, this might not be your thing. However, the scents are made from essential oils and plant products. There's also no animal testing, and all of the surfactants are biodegradable. Wanted to get that stuff out up front. I have been using the supermarket safe detergents since before my kid was born (23 years ago) but had to keep using the big bads for big dirt, blood, greasy food, etc. and just every so often to clear up dinge. With that in mind, I have been experimenting with boutique laundry detergents that are as safe as the readily available green alternatives but clean (hopefully) better. These detergents are expensive to buy. But a little goes a long way in a high efficiency washer. They clean as well as anything not named T!de but are way easier on fabric and colors. They smell great, and the scent stays for a while. I have no linen closet, so my towels are stored right in the bathroom, and they still smell good a week later. For me, the only downside is the initial outlay. Out of all the boutique brands I have tested, Tyler Candle Company has the biggest variety of scents and has the scents that last the longest. Kathina is my favorite.
